«You know, I think I like women» Ruth whispers, while combing her hair in the weirdest way Ray's ever seen in a girl, he couldn't even describe what it is that she's doing.
«What? Women? You mean you're a lesbian? That's why you always follow Lindsay around like... » He whispers back, smirking because he's damn sure Ruth never speaks of these things to anyone. They look like a cute couple discussing hair styles, he thinks, before smiling at himself, wondering did I really phantasize over me and Ruth?
She looks at him and chuckles because she's never going to admit she's kind of crushed for Suzie Salmon's sister: it seems kind of weird to her even though nobody would blame her, and it's a secret like everything concerning Suzie.
