He had no clue at all that those words would mean so much for his life, and ultimately maybe he should've told her no, he wouldn't go out with her. She was one of the cutest and smartest girls in school, why would she go and ask out to a Mr. Nobody, just some Rick Grimes who spent all his time in class thinking about her and the time out of class... Well, the same thing. But she just asked him out, bluntly, making him check silently his senses. Lori? That Lori? But in the end all he did was nodding and almost running away, to avoid showing her he'd blushed. And he remembers that evening they made out and went to the movies, and he told her all about his crush on her, to which she just grinned and replied: «I knew it». And thinking back about those things, now he wishes he never dated her, that they never had Carl and the baby unborn girl, because the world out there became ugly but he couldn't know, and the truth is, he fucking misses her.
